Welcome to Port Augusta Secondary
Port Augusta Secondary School provides a quality learning environment
for all students from years 8 to
12. We are a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school catering for
a diverse range of educational needs. Our school currently comprises a
middle school campus and a senior school campus, approximately 2km
apart.
Each is unique offering a broad range of programs best suiting the
learning styles of
that group of students. During 2010 our current senior school campus on Stirling Road
is undergoing a major capital works program which will see the
amalgamation of the
two campuses resulting in the creation of a state of the art
contemporary secondary
school. The new school will include a purpose built middle school
specifically designed
to meet the needs of young adolescents.
In this learning space small teaching teams and learning communities
will work together
to develop a middle schooling culture based on a positive attitude to
learning in an
ICT-rich environment. The new senior school will provide a wide range of
vocational and academic pathways for students within the context of the
SACE in a modern environment designed to meet the needs of young adults.
